Domaine des Carmes is a family-owned wine estate established in the Mâcon region since the 1970s. In 1998, it was taken over by the grandson of the founding winemaker, who continues the family’s tradition, expertise, and passion for vines and wine.
Located in Bissy-la-Mâconnaise, we have been working for several decades with various Burgundy wine merchants who help promote and distribute our Burgundy wines.
Since 2015, we have also offered direct sales at the estate. You are welcome to visit and discover our wines during guided tastings led by the winemaker, who will share the history of the estate, the work carried out in the vineyards, and the unique characteristics of our wines.
Are you looking for an independent winemaker in the Mâconnais region? Located in the heart of the wine-growing area, we offer direct sales of our wines at the estate, as well as delivery throughout France. Our vineyard is easily accessible from Chalon-sur-Saône, Tournus, Le Creusot, Montceau-les-Mines, Bourg-en-Bresse, Pont-de-Vaux, and Cluny.
Our wines come in two colors: a red Mâcon made from the Gamay grape variety, and two white wines, Mâcon-Lugny and Mâcon-Cruzille, produced from the Chardonnay grape.
The quality of our wines has allowed us to build partnerships with various local businesses in the region. Our family vineyard is built on traditional expertise passed down since 1998. Committed from the very beginning to an environmentally responsible approach, our wine estate is certified High Environmental Value (HVE) Level 3. This certification recognizes our respect for biodiversity, our responsible plant protection strategy, and our careful management of fertilization.
